A - Anything that you think will make for great candid photographs, I have clients bring skateboards, footballs, bubbles, dolls, favorite blanket, flowers, or a lovey. As for clothing -cute accessories such as scarves and hats always work well.
Q- What are some of your favorite stores or online shops to find the perfect outfit for our session:
A- For children - I Love Zara, Joyfolie.com, CrewCuts (Jcrew kids), Baby Gap, Matilda Jane, Mini Boden and Etsy.com is awesome for props and petti's or hats and headbands. For Adults - Lulu's, Jcrew again, Anthropology, Free People, and sometimes the Gap.
Q- Is there anything that we should not wear?
A- I tell my clients to try and stay away from bold patterns and stripes. If doing a family or sibling session dont wear colors that will clash, try to coordinate but not match. Children should not wear shirts or tee's with characters or logo's. Take a look through my gallery and blog for some inspiration.
Q- What if our choice of location is out of the 25 mile radius?
A- I am willing to travel really where ever need be to give my clients what they want. I charge a minimal travel fee to cover my gas and time, just ask me and we can work that out.
Q- Any suggestion on what my family should wear?
A- Personally I prefer coordinating outfits rather than matchy matchy. Try to pick one family members outfit first - make it a print and then pull some of the colors from that for the other members, its an easy way to coordinate. Ask me if you want some further suggestions, I love to shop so I would be willing to give you some examples and help you coordinate the perfect out depending on where we are shooting.
